Position Title: Custodian                                            

Wage: $18.27/hr  starting.  Raises at 3, 6, 9, 12 months based on performance.

Day Shift 

General Description of Work:

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Facility Manager, custodian performs daily cleaning and light maintenance duties as scheduled or required.  These duties are those required to maintain high levels of cleanliness, sanitary and aesthetic conditions throughout the facility. In addition, grounds keeping duties will be part of the job requirements.

Experience / Skills Required:

Prior custodial experience preferred.

High school education or equivalent required.

Specific Job Duties:

• Performs the basic cleaning of the interior and exterior of all designated buildings.
• Performs specific duties such as vacuuming of carpeted areas, stripping, sealing, and waxing floors.
• The general cleaning of the shower areas, change rooms, and restroom areas in the manner scheduled by the Supervisor.
• Should be able to use and understand; vacuums, polishers, and other cleaning equipment as needed.
• Understand and operate laundry facilities for cleaning plant personnel uniforms.
• Sewing experience his helpful for repairs but not required.
• May perform grounds keeping duties as needed.
