Reports to: Maintenance E/I Supervisor                                Department: Maintenance

General Description of Work Performed:

Under minimal supervision, performs the functions necessary to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install and rebuild electrical equipment, instrumentation, and associated machinery.

Qualifications

Applicant should have at least three years electrical / instrumentation experience in an industrial setting with knowledge of high voltage breakers and equipment, motor control circuitry, and instrumentation including distributed control systems (DCS).

 

High school education or equivalent required.

 

Must meet Essential Physical Functions for the position (Including lifting 75 pounds)

Responsibilities

Experience/ Skills Required:

 

Applicant should have at least three years electrical / instrumentation experience in an industrial setting with knowledge of high voltage breakers and equipment, motor control circuitry, and instrumentation including distributed control systems (DCS).

 

It is preferred that the Applicant has familiarity with rectifier circuitry and ability to troubleshoot.

 

Knowledge of starters, breakers, and power circuitry is also needed.

 

Knowledge of high voltage connections and splicing is helpful.

 

Preferred background in process measurement, instrument calibration, trouble shooting, schematic / ladder diagram reading, thermocouples, valve actuators and more sophisticated instrumentation.

Understand and follow electrical code and safety rules.

 

Ability to work any shift, including weekends and overtime.

 

Willing to participate in skill enhancement programs.

 

Proactive and self-motivated with ability to work in and promote a team environment.

 

 Ability to work in various temperature extremes.

 

Schedule: Day Shift (rotating 10 hour day shift, including weekend/holiday coverage)

 

Other Duties as assigned.
